Steam System Training

UNIDO Steam System Optimisation Fundamentals

This one-day UNIDO accredited training course is offered under the auspices of the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA). This training aims to provide delegates with a fundamental understanding of steam systems and their components, as well as the thermodynamic principles that govern their operation. Using these principles and a “systems” approach, optimisation opportunities within the system can then be identified and quantified. The course is aimed at all engineering and technical personnel who wish to gain a better understanding of steam systems and the optimisation opportunities which exist within them.

The Basics of Steam

This one-day course equips personnel with basic knowledge around steam systems and their operation. Best practices for steam system operation are also explored, with emphasis placed on safety and efficiency. The course can be customised to suit the steam system employed on your site and its components. This solution is targeted at operators, artisans, technicians and junior engineers who are responsible for the running and maintenance of steam systems on a day-to-day basis.
